In mid-October this year, the 2020 World Young Scientist Summit was held in Wenzhou, and the 7 sub-forums were organized by Wenzhou University. Jin Zhenmin, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor at the College of Life and Environmental Sciences of Wenzhou University said. “Attaching importance to education and talents, Wenzhou is indeed a land for technological innovation, and Wenzhou University has the potential to become the cradle for the cultivation of technological talents.”

At this summit, Wenzhou University also reached a number of university-enterprise cooperation. In the field of laser and optoelectronic intelligent manufacturing, the university and the Southern Zhejiang Science and Technology City signed 12 intellectual cooperation projects with Taizhou Sanying Pump Industry Co., Ltd., the Shanghai University scientific research team and other institutes. Laser and Optoelectronics Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute of Wenzhou University also signed the contracts to build "Ultrafast Laser Innovation Laboratory" and "Internet of Things Innovation Center" with the Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory Photonic Center and Xiamen Rongtuo IoT Technology Co., Ltd.

In the field of water ecology, Wenzhou University and Kyoto University jointly established the "International Water Resources and Water Ecology Research Center". In the future, international cooperative research will be carried out in the field of water environment governance and water ecology protection to build a new model of water ecological environment management in the river basin. In terms of digital economy, Wenzhou Cyberspace Security Talent Training Base, Southern Zhejiang (Wenzhou) Digital Economy Industry-Education Alliance, Wenzhou Digital Economic Research Institute, etc. have been successively launched in Wenzhou University.
